Annica Kronsell
Om Annica Kronsell
My main research and teaching areas: - Enviromental social science - Climate, Environmental and Transition Governance - Feminist theory, gender and intersectionality
My background is in political scientist but I think that interdisciplinarity is highly valuable to reach a more comprensive understanding of and in dealing with environmental and climate problems.
I have been teaching extensively in the fields of international politics, peace- and conflict studies, environmental and feminist studies. In recent years mostly in post-graduate education such as the PhD course: Environmental Governance and Sustainability Transitions.
I have conducted empirical research on climate, environmental and sustainability governance in the Scandinavian and European context and published several books and articles in this field and been an active research leader in interdisciplinary research consortia. I have a theoretical interest in governance related to sustainability transitions in the 'green' welfare state institutions, and in feminist institutional theory and intersectional theory.
I am currently leading the following projects: Gender Equality and Increased Energy efficiency in the Transport Sector (Swedish Energy Agency) and Intersectionality and Climate Policy Making: toward a socially inclusive welfare state (Formas)
