Forskningsintressen De frågor jag framför allt arbetar med rör sociokulturella förhållanden (inklusive historiska aspekter och institutionella ramar/förutsättningar) som har relevans för utbildningsområdet i allmänhet och utifrån specialpedagogiska synsätt och perspektiv i synnerhet. Av speciellt intresse för mig är också "group-based inequalities in scholasic achievement" och minoritetselevers lärande och utveckling i en globaliserad och post-kolonial värld. Hur man ser på fenomenen inklusion-exklusion, normalitet-avvikelse etc inom det specialpedagogiska forskningsområdet intresserar mig i hög grad, fenomen som dessutom lätt låter sig relateras till mitt eget intresseområde. Undervisningsintressen Jag undervisar och handleder gärna om etnicitet och utbildning; inkluderande utbildning, kognitiv antropologi och "educational ethnography". Jag är intresserad av frågor som rör det specialpedagogiska forskningsområdet och kunskapsfältet inklusive forskningsmetodik. Jag är ansvarig för olika kurser som huvudsakligen berör forskningsmetodik med tillämpning inom den specialpedagogiska disciplinen.
