My research interests lie within the field of developmental psychology with a particular focus on identity development across different life stages. I am a member of the research group The Gothenburg group for Research In Developmental psychology (GRID).

Ongoing Research

My doctoral work is connected to two different research projects. The Gothenburg Longitudinal study of Development (GoLD) examines psychological development across the lifespan, following the same individuals from early childhood (ages 1–2) to early midlife (ages 38–40). The Gothenburg Research Program on Ethnic Identity explores how the ethnic identity develops and how opportunities can be improved for individuals to manage both personal and interpersonal challenges. My dissertation focuses on identity development in early midlife in a Swedish context. The aim is to investigate individuals’ identities in relation to ethnicity, gender, and social class. The primary focus is on normative expectations associated with social groups based on ethnicity, gender, and social class, and how these both separately and intersectionally shape the identity.
