Kristina Elfving (MD, PhD), associate professor of pediatrics is a humanitarian, Swedish senior consultant working with pediatric infectious disease, as well as lecturer of global child health, pediatric infectious disease and undernutrition. Kristina's research focus is on pediatric clinical trials, undernutrition, perinatal and neurodevelopmental outcomes as well as pediatric infectious disease dynamics both in Sweden and Sub-saharan Africa. She has as principal investigator ongoing research collaborations including supervision of PhD students with research institutions in Rwanda, Tanzania/Zanzibar, Uganda, USA, and the Nordic Countries.
