Visiting Professors Programme

The visiting professors programme (VPP) is a product of strategic partnerships between the business community in western Sweden and the School of Business Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg. In order to strengthen the quality and international competitiveness of the School, corporate donors have supported the establishment of a 5-year programme to engage leading professors in the fields of business, economics and law from around the globe. At the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship we have four professors within the Visiting Professors Programme, Sharmistha Bagshi-Sen, Astrid Heidemann Lassen, Guido Bünstorf and Nathalie Lazaric.

Sharmistha Bagshi-Sen

Sharmistha Bagshi-Sen is Professor at the University of Buffalo, USA. She was appointed the Chair of the Department of Geography at the University at Buffalo-State University of New York in fall 2010. Before that she served as the co-Director of the Institute for Research and Education on Women and Gender at the University at Buffalo. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in 1989.

Astrid Heidemann Lassen

Dr. Astrid Heidemann Lassen is Associate Professor in Innovation Management at the Center for Industrial Production, Aalborg University, Denmark, from where she also holds a PhD in Corporate Entrepreneurship. Astrids current research is in particular focused on knowledge-intensive entrepreneurship and user-centered innovation/open innovation with a strong emphasis on the intersection between knowledge, organizational innovation capabilities and strategic management. Astrid has published various international journal articles, book chapters and books on this topic.

Guido Bünstorf 

Guido Bünstorf is  Professor of Economics at the University of Kassel, Germany, and executive vice director of INCHER-Kassel, an interdisciplinary center of research into higher education. Before coming to Kassel he was a research group leader at the Max Planck Institute of Economics in Jena (Germany) and a visiting postdoctoral researcher at Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, USA).

Nathalie Lazaric

Nathalie Lazaric is Professor at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in France. Her main areas of research include evolutionary theories, organizational routines, habits, sustainable consumption, ecological innovations, smart innovation in energy and mobility and business models.
