How to apply for exchange courses
This page provides information about the course application for exchange students. As an exchange student at the University of Gothenburg, you apply for courses in a separate process and should NOT use universityadmissions.se.
You can find courses for exchange students in the search engine.
Please note that some courses might have a limited number of places, and that there is no guarantee that all courses listed will be given. Think carefully about your course selection and provide backup options in case some of your first choices aren’t available.
You will find information about other academic offer, such as clinical placements, thesis work and internship, on the page Faculty specific information.
Application process
The course application process for exchange students differs depending on which faculty/department you intend to study at or if you are an exchange student within a university-wide agreement. Typically, you can apply for courses within your subject field at the faculty and/or department specified in the exchange agreement signed between your home university and the University of Gothenburg. If you are unsure which faculty or department you belong to, please contact your international coordinator.
Courses in other faculties are available only by individual agreement and subject to place availability. Please contact the international coordinator at your host department for more information. It is important that you follow the course application instructions of your faculty carefully. Instructions for each faculty and for students within university-wide agreements are found below.
