Richard C. Malmsten Memorial Foundation Scholarship covers part of the tuition fee and is awarded once a year.

Eligibility criteria
The Richard C. Malmsten Memorial Foundation scholarship is open to apply to if;
1. You are required to pay tuition fee for education in Sweden
2. You have applied for one of the School of Business, Economics and Law’s Master’s programmes;
- Master of Science in Accounting and Financial Management
- Master of Science in Economics
- Master of Science in Finance
- Master of Science in International Business and Trade
- Master of Science in Innovation and Industrial Management
- Master of Science in Knowledge Based Entrepreneurship
- Master of Science in Logistics and Transport Management
- Master of Science in Management
- Master of Science in Marketing and Consumption
How much does the Scholarship cover?
The scholarship covers part of the tuition fee, specifically 100 000 SEK over two years. This means that students will receive a tuition fee waiver of 25 000 SEK per semester.
Selection process
The selection will be based on applicants admitted to one of the School of Business, Economics and Law’s Master’s programmes (listed above). Applicants for the Richard C. Malmsten Memorial Foundation scholarship are ranked by their GMAT minimum score. The score must be sent to the School of Business, Economics and Law by the test organization. Applicants who have applied to the Graduate School’s Master’s programmes as their first priority, are prioritized.
Students without a GMAT score will not be considered for this scholarship.
If students have been offered any of the scholarships from the Swedish Institute or the study scholarships offered by the University of Gothenburg, they will not qualify for the Richard C Malmsten Memorial Foundation Scholarship. The selection of students for the scholarship is made by the School of Business, Economics and Law’s selection committee and is not applicable for appeal.

The application round for 2026 was open between 3 February and closed 17 March 2026. The next round will be announced here November 2026.
