Welfare in change
Short description
Welfare in change deals with issues and inputs around welfare, the labor market and special groups' conditions in welfare. We also research the organization, inequality and functioning of welfare and how the voluntary sector functions as a welfare institution.
Research areas
The research conducted within the group has a focus on the major welfare issues. Examples of issues we study are how welfare has worked and how it can be designed to work better for citizens and meet future challenges.
Our research includes both dissertation projects and externally funded research on welfare. Within the group, there is a broad knowledge of various welfare issues and a long experience of collaboration with both national and international actors. We apply both quantitative and qualitative methods to study these areas.
