Yearly arrangements: Time-Geography Conference

Since the early 1990’s the Time-Geography Network has arranged Time-Geography Days, gatherings with participants mainly from the Nordic countries. These arrangements were initially biannual, but from the early 2000’s the gatherings are arranged annually, located at some university in Sweden.

The Time-Geography Days are held at different universities and are generally two-day events at which researchers, graduate students, teachers and doctoral candidates from various fields and different universities ad disciplines come together to discuss their research- or teaching-related questions, problems and ideas that have been inspired by time-geography. The tone of the events is relaxed and collegial, and new participants will quickly feel right at home. The Time-Geography Days are cooperative endeavors.

At the Time-Geography Days in 2013 we decided to extend our efforts to include more researchers in the time-geography network and initiate International Time-Geography Conferences. The 1st International Time-Geography Conference was arranged in 2014, and until now (2023) four International Time-Geography conferences have been held in Sweden and in China.

The inspirational spirit and critical reflections characterizing the discussions on the Time-Geography Days is furthered to the International Time-Geography Conferences.
