An equal Nordic Region

How do we achieve an equal Nordic Region that includes everyone? We provide new and in-depth Nordic perspectives on current issues and highlight challenges to the Nordic welfare model.

The projects of the focus area relate to issues such as exposure to violence, treatment and inclusion/exclusion. By highlighting experiences of sexual harassment, economic vulnerability and the living conditions of LGBTI people, we contribute with critical perspectives on concrete challenges to the Nordic welfare model.

Much of the Nordic work takes place through NIKK, Nordic Information for Knowledge on Gender, which is located here. On behalf of the Nordic Council of Ministers, we also administer two funds aimed at stimulating Nordic co-operation in the field of gender equality and LGBTI.
