25 year jubilee
The Swedish Secretariat for Gender Research celebrated 25 years in 2023! What has happened in research, education and gender equality during these years - and what do we see when we look ahead? The event that took place 8 September was fully booked and that only those who had registered could participate on site.
Jubilee Event in Gothenburg on 8 September
We invited our cooperation partner to a venue with Swedish, Nordic and European perspectives - and participants. Together, we talked about:
- 25 years of Gender Inequality in Sweden and the Nordic region
Critical reflections and proud moments (talk in Swedish/Scandinavian)
- 25 years of Gender Research and Gender Studies in Sweden and the Nordic region
Formation and organisation of gender research in Sweden (talk in Swedish)
- 25 years of the Gender Dimension in the EU Research Policy
Academic freedom and the urge for feminist knowledge
- Re-Imagining Sexual Harassment - Perspectives from the Nordic Region
We will also present our anthology, which was published this year, at Bristol University Press. (talk in Swedish/Scandinavian)
