Organisation
The head of department leads the daily work at the Department of Swedish, Multilingualism, Language Technology, and is assisted by the senior management committee and the department council, which act as advisory bodies. In addition, there are several drafting committees for (e.g.) research, education and research studies.
Advisory bodies
Management Team
The group consists of the head of department, deputy head of department, head of education, deputy head of research, deputy head of doctoral education, deputy head of research infrastructure, administrative manager, and the department's two economists.
Department Council (IR)
IR is an advisory body to the head of department, where strategic issues relating to the department's activities are discussed. IR provides a forum for dialogue and discussion of the department's activities.
Preparatory committees
Drafting Committee for Educational Issues
Responsible: Head of Education.
The group handles various strategic educational issues such as course offerings, staff training, quality assurance processes and marketing issues for the program.
Research Committee
Responsible: Vice Head of Research.
The committee coordinates the planning of faculty-funded international visiting researchers, manages researchers' applications for internal travel funds and deals with other research-related issues such as evaluations, referrals, etc. Minutes are taken at the meetings.
Research Studies Committee
Responsible: Vice Head of Department for Postgraduate Education.
The committee prepares and deals with admission to third-cycle education and handles other issues related to third-cycle education such as evaluations, referrals, etc.
Supervisor Committee
Responsible: Vice Head of Department for Postgraduate Education.
The committee prepares and deals with admission to third-cycle education and handles other issues related to third-cycle education such as evaluations, referrals, etc.
The Curriculum Group (KPG)
Responsible: Head of Education.
The group prepares matters involving study plans and syllabi. Minutes are taken at the meetings.
