About Klas Andersson

Associate Professor. Works at the unit for subject matter education specializing in social sciences and in the research environment, Phenomenography, variation theory and learning study. My research interest is focused on teaching and learning social studies, but I’m also interested in school and education in a broader perspective. I mainly teach courses on the Elementary Teacher Program.

 

Current research projects:

Developing teaching from first grade students' understandings of societal functions/The Swedish Institute for Educational Research (together with Kristoffer Larsson)

Organization and management of quality and development work in municipal school administrations/Swedish Research Council (minor part of Mette Liljenberg's project)

How to learn to think critically? A project on testing variation theory as a pedagogical design to develop students' critical thinking skills in primary school civics/The Swedish Institute for Educational Research (together with Kristoffer Larsson)
