Please book your travel to and accommodation in Gothenburg as early as possible! Early June is a peak tourist season in Gothenburg and Sweden, often hosting large-scale events, including concerts. Please choose sustainable travel options if possible.

Hotels

While we don’t have specific hotels to recommended with special prices, we do have helpful suggestions. We suggest that your hotel is close to the tram lines or buses if you plan to take public transportation to the Wallenberg conference centre. See below for details on how to get to the conference centre.

Please note that there is a 5 minute walk up a hill from the tram stop to the conference centre.

The Schumpeter Prize Dinner

The Schumpeter Prize Dinner, aligned with the conference theme "Transformation: Creative Accumulation and Creative Destruction in the Economy," will take place at Lindholmen, a historic shipyard turned vibrant venue in Gothenburg. This dynamic setting reflects the city's rich industrial heritage while embracing its contemporary spirit.

As delegates of ISS2024, you are invited to enjoy an evening of diverse street food options and socializing amidst the lively atmosphere of Lindholmen.

Public transportation
