Our research
The Department of Political Science research focuses on elections, opinion polls, and democracy. But also on the importance of – and how to create – well-functioning political institutions, as well as international and European political research. Studies are also conducted on environmental policy, corruption, and political ideas.
According to ShanghaiRanking’s 2023 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, the Department of Political Science is the best in Sweden, ranked 5th in Europe, and 16th in the world.
