AstraZeneca Collaborations

The WCMTM initiative is part of intensifying the collaboration between industry, academia and healthcare to make Sweden and the Nordic region an even more attractive life-science cluster.

Combining academic research and industry is a way to ensure that research results become the best possible outcome for patients, for example through novel therapies. This is one of the intentions with the close collaboration between WCMTM and AstraZeneca.

AstraZeneca is a scientifically driven major pharmaceutical company, and one of the world leaders in the treatment of heart and respiratory diseases, and cancer. The research team in Sweden consists of talented and credible scientist, with significant international reputation – creating a perfect match for the promising, young researchers recruited to WCMTM. Together we explore collaborations and find synergies in our research fields for the benefit of patients.
