About us
At the Department of Applied Information Technology, we conduct critical and interdisciplinary research of the highest quality in an international environment with great relevance to society. We offer popular programs at undergraduate and graduate levels, grounded in research and societal development, providing excellent employment opportunities.
Our researchers are at the heart of the debate, contributing to the explanation and problematisation of IT and societal challenges associated with society's digitalisation. Here, people’s knowledge and ability to analyse, understand, and manage various aspects of IT, as well as the interaction between humans and technology, are developed in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital surveillance, "Twin transition," blockchain, digital governance, digital innovation, e-health, the Internet of Things, mobile communication, robots, social media, and IT in schools and education.

The Medicinaregatan and Sahlgrenska huvudentré stops are the closest stops to Campus Medicinareberget. There are plenty of tram and bus lines that take you to all parts of Gothenburg. You can easily find which tram or bus line to take using Västtrafik's travel planner.
If you are driving, the entrance to Medicinareberget is via Medicinaregatan, which turns off from Guldhedsgatan. There are plenty of parking spaces around the hill, and there is also a car park at Medicinaregatan 18 G. Charging stations for electric cars are available at two parking spaces, on the road up to Medicinaregatan 1 and at Medicinaregatan 14.
Bicycle parking is available in several places on Medicinareberget, including under the roof outside Medicinaregatan 7 B and by the side walkway at Medicinaregatan 21. At Medicinaregatan 9 A, there is bicycle parking where you can charge your electric bike battery. To access it, use your GU card.
