The Children's Summer Lab

The Children's Summer Lab is a summer activity in Swedish aimed at children who want to learn more about marine life. Together with marine biologists from Tjärnö, children can carry out their own investigations and experiments. The aim is to gain an insight into the everyday life of a scientist while having fun together.

Two mornings of discovery

During the Children's Summer Lab, children make scientific discoveries in the marine environment. We spend one morning on the beach and the next morning indoors at the Tjärnö Laboratory.

The children should bring swimwear and a towel on the first day, and a light snack on both days.

Since most participating kids are Swedish-speaking, we communicate mainly in Swedish. With no-Swedish speaking kids in the group we will do our best to also communicate in English.

For whom?

In the summer of 2024, we accept children born no earlier than 2013 and no later than 2017.

We refer parents and other relatives to other activities at Tjärnö Laboratory.
