Are you applying for a degree program starting Autumn 2026? On this page you find an overview of the key dates for the admission process. We will update this page with information about onboarding activities for admitted international students before the admissions results are published.
January
15 January 2026 – Application deadline
Application deadline for degree programs and last day to rank your programs on universityadmissions.se
February
2 February 2026 - Deadline for documents
Please note that programs at the Artistic Faculty have extra deadlines regarding submitting portfolios through SlideRoom. Go to the program page for more detailed info on what to submit and when the deadline is.
Scholarship applications fee-paying students
3 February
Richard C. Malmsten Scholarship application is open. Only for students at the School of Business, Economics and Law. Deadline is 17 March.
9-25 February
The application portal for SI Scholarships is open for two weeks
10 February
The invitation to apply for Axel Adler Scholarship will be sent out to eligible students, to the email address registered at universityadmissions.se.
March
26 March 2026 – Master's admission results
31 March 2026 – Bachelor's admission results

Onboarding activities
During this and following months you will be invited to different onboarding activities. You will also be invited to Goin', an app for students admitted to the University of Gothenburg to connect through studies, hobbies, interests, and more. You will receive your personal invitation after your admission.
May
1 May - Deadline to pay tuition fee
For those required to pay tuition fee, 1 May is the deadline to make the payment. When you have received the notification of selection results, an email will be sent out with payment instructions.
