Christopher Gillberg is Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Glasgow and has been a Visiting Professor  at Strathclyde University since the early 2000s, where, together with Professor Helen Minnis and Research Coordinator Lucy Thompson, he heads a team of researchers (including Ruchika Gajwani, Fiona Sims, and Clare Allely, among others).

The scope of the research ranges from infant mental health through overlaps of attachment and neurodevelopment disorder, through outcomes of maltreatment and the combined effects of genes, intrauterine environment and psychosocial adversity.
