Join us in this first part of the program where we focus on our partners and how we work nationally and regionally with strategic initiatives, marking Gothenburg as a place to be counted on within life science research. 

Our speakers will give their view on the synergies and added value of collaboration between academy, hospital, and industry.

Discover the dynamic collaborations and initiatives between SciLifeLab, the Wallenberg centres across Sweden, as well as other national actors.
Olli Kallioniemi, Director of SciLifeLab and DDLS, and professor at Karolinska Institutet, shares his vision and the driving force behind these important efforts. Following this, Elisabet Carlsohn, Site director for SciLifeLab Gothenburg will provide a closer look at the local initiatives.

Ann Ekberg-Jansson, Research and Development Manager (FoU), Region Västra Götaland shares insights into the strengths, challenges, and future opportunities when the region and university collaborate within life science projects.

Rob Menzies provides perspectives on AstraZeneca's part in the collaboration within life science research in the Gothenburg region, as well as his thoughts on the development ahead.

We conclude this part of the program by inviting our speakers to join a panel discussion, providing an opportunity to delve deeper into their topics.

Take the chance to mingle among the WCMTM teams' research posters, and discuss with some of our PI:s and team members who will be present. Also we invite you to talk with the exhibitors on spot (see list below). Fika is available during the poster session!

The intersection between the experimental and clinical | 15:15-16:30

WCMTM Fellows will put the focus on the ‘T’ as in translational during this final part of the program where the intersection between the experimental and clinical will be highlighted through their own research projects and collaborations.
