Our research
The department’s research explores the conditions and outcomes of education at individual, organisational and societal levels, as well as the relationship between education and working life. Our researchers study issues such as school segregation, language and literacy development, assessment, leadership, education policy and digitalisation – often with a focus on questions of equity, inclusion and social change.
Research at the department is organised into thematic research environments that bring together scholars with shared areas of expertise. On their pages you can find information about key research questions, ongoing projects and participating researchers.
In addition, the department hosts a number of research collegia – informal groups focused on specific interests in research and education. They provide a forum for developing knowledge, exchanging ideas and connecting with development initiatives. The seminars organised by the collegia are open to all interested participants.
