Computer Science and Engineering
We are engaged in research and education across the full spectrum of computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, and interaction design, from foundations to applications. The department is joint between Chalmers and the University of Gothenburg.
We educate for the future, conduct research with high international visibility, and create societal benefits through close cooperation with business and industry. We are convinced that computer science and computer technology are crucial factors in the quest for a sustainable society.
Several of our researchers lead and participate in projects involving sustainability in different areas. The department also hosts two centres, the Chalmers AI Research Centre and the Software Center, both with close links to industry.
