About Valgeir Thorvaldsson

Biography

B.A. in Psychology, University of Iceland (2001). Ph.D. in Psychology, University of Gothenburg (2008). Postdoctoral researcher, University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada (2010). Associate Professor, Department of Psychology, University of Gothenburg (2015). Professor at the same department since 2021.

Teaching

Teaches quantitative methods at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Research Interests

Together with collaborators, I study factors contributing to individual differences in cognitive aging, functional decline, and dementia risk in later life.
