Lina Lawenius began her PhD-studies at CBAR (Centre for Bone and Arthritis Research) in November 2017. She graduated from Chalmers University of Technology in June 2017 with a Master of Science in Biotechnology.
Lina research focuses on the effect of aging gut microbiota composition on bone mass and how the composition of the gut microbiota can be altered to decrease age-related bone loss using probiotics. Her research projects are multidisciplinary connecting microbiology, endocrinology, immunology and bone metabolism and include cell cultures and experimental animal models.
