Short description

Health-related quality of life, emotional well-being, life situation, and care needs of individuals with glioblastoma and their relatives — a model to promote support for the family during the disease process.

The  aim of the project is to investigate the health-related quality of life, emotional well-being, life situation, and support needs of individuals with high-grade brain tumors and their relatives. The study spans over time to, based on the results and existing literature, develop a model of support for these families where the right resources can be introduced at the right time during the disease's progression.

The model is intended to provide families with person-centered, close care based on interprofessional teamwork. Through collaboration between hospitals, municipalities, and other relevant entities for the family, this close care can enhance support from diagnosis to end-of-life care.
