Ingela Lundgren is emeritous professor in Midwifery Science. She has a registration as nurse in 1978 and as midwife in 1986, and has mainly worked as a midwife in delivery wards. Ingela has been Deputy Head of Department University of Borås, 2005-2008. Further, she was Head of Department at Institute of Health and Care Sciences 2010-2018. She is participating in several national and international research collaborations.
Research Ingela’s research is about childbirth focusing a historical perspective, normal birth, the influence in women´s lives, models of care, women´s experiences, and professional support.
