Our foundation

Would you like to donate money in order to support research in child neuropsychiatry?

About

The Swedish Child Neuropsychiatry Science Foundation’s main purpose is to further scientific research, developmental work and education in child neuropsychiatry with special focus on children, adolescents and certain adults with autism and autism spectrum disorders. Professor Christopher Gillberg is the chairman of the foundation and he has held the position since the foundation started in 1994.

Goal

The foundation supports researchers at different levels e.g. university students (during summer break), PhD students, postdocs and visiting professors. Applications for grants can include research projects, scholarships, conference trips and postdoc residence. The foundation collaborates with the Gillberg Neuropsychiatry Centre (GNC) regarding seminars in child neuropsychiatry. One example of activity founded by The Swedish Child Neuropsychiatry Science Foundation in collaboration with the GNC is the lecture held by Dr. Susan Swedo on PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections).
In addition, the foundation accepts donations from individuals and foundations.
