Research interests
Focus of my research is in the field of sociology of education around social justice in school. Methodically, the research draws on critical ethnographic studies as well as interview studies. I am interested in the construction of gender, sexuality, social class, everyday racism, student welfare, student victimization, processes of inclusion and exclusion in education as well as in the everyday lives of children and adolescents. I have extended experience of national and international research collaborations. I'm the convenor of NERA's Gender and Education network. I’m also the chair of the Colloquium Gender Perspectives in Education and the convenor of the Department of Education and Special Education’s research application working group. I’m part of the research group Critical Theories (KRIT).

- I'm currently the PI (project investigator) of the research project Mental health issues and victimisation among LGBTQI-youth: a comparative study in Swedish and Danish schools (2022-2026), funded by the Swedish Research Council.
