International networking - How small and medium-sized companies create cross border opportunities?

Social and business networks are great ways for small and medium-sized companies to create cross border opportunities. Which factors are important and how has the pandemic altered the scenario?

The School of Business, Economics and Law together with HHGA – Handelshögskolans Alumniförening (the independent alumni association) welcome all alumni to this webinar with Professor Sylvie Chetty, member of the Elof Hansson Visiting Professor Programme in International Business and Trade at the School.

Sylvie Chetty was the Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Otago, New Zealand. She lives in New Zealand and also has Visiting Professor positions at Uppsala University, Sweden and University of Eastern Finland. Her research interests are to discover how small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) use their social and business networks to create opportunities and to innovate, as well as to overcome the challenges such as lack of resources and knowledge about foreign markets.

Programme:

  • Per Cramér, Dean, School of Business, Economics and Law
  • Kristina Sandström, Operational manager, HHGA
  • Professor Sylvie Chetty, University of Otago, New Zealand
