Short description

The Department of Historical Studies has a strong research focus on the European Bronze Age, particularly as regards Scandinavia and the Mediterranean. The Bronze Age group is an internal forum for active researchers at department.

The Bronze Age group is an internal forum for active researchers at department. The group meets regularly once a month. Its aim is to foster communication between researchers working on material from different parts of Europe. It provides a forum for discussions on topics of common interest, for the presentation of ongoing research, and of future project ideas.

The interest of the group is very broad and attention is regularly given to issues of Neolithic archaeology or to the archaeology of other periods and geographical areas for comparative purposes. We are always happy to organize seminars with visiting scholars both in person and online.
