Short description

Developing brain injury is important cause of developmental impairment and of permanent neurological deficits in children such as cerebral palsy. The progression of developing brain injury depends on the balance between persistent injury and the repair response, which can be modulated by external therapy.

Our aim is to screen for causative genes and specific biomarkers for the early identification of developing brain injury and neurological sequelae and to develop novel therapeutics strategies for the early treatment of brain injury and the prevention neurological sequelae.
