About us

Evaluation Through Follow-up - UGU is a national infrastructure that is used, among other things, for evaluation and research within the school.

The research infrastructure UGU stands for "Evaluation Through Follow-up" and is one of the country's largest research databases in the field of education, the country's largest survey study about schools. As part of the national evaluation of the school, our database contributes with nationally representative data that can be linked to other databases. Researchers in psychology, economics, political science and education use our longitudinal data to know more about Swedish schools and the labor market.

About the datamaterial

Data are available for researchers, doctoral students and students at Swedish and foreign universities and colleges on request. There are some restrictions on delivery to countries outside the EU. For students, the principal is that it is the supervisor who applies for access to data. The main datasets consist of data from the cohorts, while data deliveries consist of one or more cohorts' data.
