Research interests My research interest has mainly involved the study of various motives or goals that students have for going to school and learning - or avoiding learning - and thereby how various types of motivation relate to student achievement over time, their self-perception in general and in specific subjects, their future educational choices, family background, and gender, and their mental health. Special support issues and teaching quality is also of main interest. My studies are based on longitudinal data gathered within the framework of the UGU project’s data collection in compulsory and upper-secondary schools as well in the labor market and life.
Teaching interests I prefer to teach and supervise the subject of student motivation, but also in the subjects below.
