PhD project The dissertation topic revolves around conceptions of normal parenthood on a Swedish commercial parenting site. The thesis will deconstruct thematic and rhetoric techniques of how to talk about what is being perceived as normal or deviant but also to uncover conversation on conversation; that is, rules of the `normal´ conversation online.
Through discourse analysis two themes will be especially examined – conceptions of parents of problematic children and the conceptions of what is being depicted as a normal relationship between two parents.
Publication “Make place – the everyday practices of children living in overcrowded households”
Master Thesis on the Department of Social Work at the University of Gothenburg. The thesis emanated from an interview study with overcrowded children concerning their experiences of their accommodations, making place and space for their own activities, and living conditions which facilitated or aggravated the situation.
