Lövgärdet 2020
Short description
The aim of the report is to produce a needs- and development analysis for the city borough Lövgärdet in Gothenburg, year 2020. The suggested analysis should be interpreted against the background of the negative developments Lövgärdet has gone through during the past decade.
The two dominant estate owners, Poseidon and Victoria Park, aim to invest consciously in order to turn the trends around. From this perspective, the present report is an important baseline study to compare with the coming development journey.
The themes lifted in the report are:
- a) Lövgärdet as space and form,
- b) the inhabitants of Lövgärdet,
- c) criminality and safety issues in Lövgärdet.
The suggestions lifted are aimed at the future improvements of the area – some physical or geographical, other social. The report relies on interviews with key actors in the area, statistics and previous reports on different topics of the borough Lövgärdet.
