Almedalen Week
By participating in Almedalen, the University of Gothenburg wants to show how the university takes its social responsibility and engages with the surrounding community.
Information about the university's participation at Almedalen
The University of Gothenburg has been participating during the Almedal Week for several years.
In Visby the university rents a house where staff from the university live during the week. In the house public lectures take place in the adjacent garden. In addition, round table discussions and workshops are organized in the house during the week.
Important dates
- On February 1, the program opens for applications to the Almedal Week program.
- It is free to apply up to and including March 13 at 4:00 p.m., after which a program fee of SEK 500 will be introduced.
- 25–28 June, we will jointly organize Almedal Week 2024. Welcome!
More information about the university's participation at Almedalen will be updated continuously during the spring.
