Short description

The aim of this research project is to analyse data from several sources like individual data, data from large running races, weather data, ambulance register etc. in order to develop models predicting severe medical incidences like collapses. The project is performed in collaboration with the large running races in the world like Göteborgsvarvet, with international researchers at the University of Pretoria in South Africa and with World Athletics for access to a large amount of data. This project may contribute to the development of risk prediction models and preventive measures in order to reduce the number of medical complications in endurance sports.
