Short description

Employer involvement and measures at the workplace are central to a successful return to work process after sick leave in stress-related mental disordes. With the introduction of rehab coordinators, the primary care capacity to involve employers is expected to increase. PRIMA is a randomized controlled study in the Västra Götaland region's primary care. The purpose is to develop and evaluate early employer contact as a way to stimulate return to work A total of 131 patients were recruited for the study. The results indicate that a prerequisite for employer contact to be implemented in primary care is that there are good insurance medical routines where the coordinator has a pronounced and clear role vis-à-vis other professional groups. The analyzes of sick leave and care consumption data among participating patients are ongoing.
