Short description

Karin Parrow, born Taube (1900–1984), worked as a visual artist in the Gothenburg area. In the 1920s she trained at Valand's painting school for Tor Bjurström and in the 1930s she participated in the formation of the Gothenburg artist club. She was very artistically productive, participated in a large number of art exhibitions and was also involved in several Gothenburg-based cultural and archive projects. Karin Parrow is represented in seven public museum collections in Sweden and most of her large production is privately owned. About Karin Parrow is very little written. The purpose of the research project on Karin Parrow is a monograph to highlight both her specific life circumstances and her artistry.
