Karin Berg won the Uddevalla Symposium Best paper award 2018

Karin Berg, PhD Candidate at the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, School of Business, Economics and Law, University of Gothenburg, Sweden has won the award of best PhD Candidate Paper, at the Uddevalla Symposium 2018.

To stimulate high quality papers the Scientific Committee of the Uddevalla Symposium 2018 designate the Best PhD Candidate Paper with €700. The prize is sponsored by the Uddevalla Municipality, Sweden. The title of Karin’ paper is: ”How Academic Engagement Can Influence Firm Innovation. The Perspective of Industrial PhD Students in Engineering”.

The jury's motivation

This paper has a highly interesting topic. The study has a well-designed research approach and methodology with interesting results. Furthermore the paper add a promising contribution to our understanding of collaboration between academia and industry that often is subject to intense debate not least regarding capabilities for job-opportunities and the development of innovation.
