National tests of Social Studies

The National test in Social Studies for year 9 has existed since 2013. The purpose of the test is to support fair and equal assessment and grading students’ knowledge of the subject. The Swedish National Agency for Education (Skolverket) is commissioned by the Government to develop and administer the national tests in collaboration with universities and higher education institutions. The responsibility for developing the national test in Social Studies for Year 9 has been assigned to the University of Gothenburg.
