With the actual physical space as the starting point, flautist Anders Hagberg gathers musicians from the Academy of Music and Drama for the project "Places, Spaces". Using the academy's building, Artisten, as their arena, Anders and fellow musicians will create a space filled with music and sounds, allowing the different rooms to become active parts in this sonic landscape. Autumn 2022 is the last semester we will be located in the building Artisten, before a major rebuilding will take place. With this performance we will tribute the place and show our gratitude to the spaces that have been filled with music for 30 years.

"Places, Spaces" is a site-specific concert lead by Anders Hagberg, featuring musicians/students from the improvisation programme at the Academy of Music, and Drama. The music will be performed in different rooms with different acoustic qualities. The starting point for the performance is Anders Hagberg’s artistic research "Inner and Outer Spaces" revolving around how music, spaces, and acoustics interplay, and how they affect and amplify each other.

The performance is opening the 2022 GAS Festival.
