Seminar
Date
24 May 2023
Time
13:15 - 15:00

This seminar examines the financial sector in South Africa since the early 1980s with the aim of analysing its socio-economic impact, especially in relation to relevant welfare policies.

The findings from the researcher Deniz Kellecioglu study suggest that the massive financialization process harmed the overall economy, and had disastrous effects on the social economy.

Attached you will find an abstract with more detailed information about Deniz Kellecioglu's seminar paper.

The commentator is Professor Emeritus Björn Gustafsson at the Department of Social Work.

Warm welcome!
