Conservative sensibilities in 19th century Latin-American Literature

Andrea Castro and Kari Soriano Salkjelsvik will present the results of their project Conservative Sensibilites: Literary Imagination and the Press in 19th century Latin America (Swedish Research Council). Approaching the relation between politics and aesthetics, they will show examples of how conservative values were expressed through literature in the period of consolidation of modern Latin-American nations. All interested are welcome!
