About Ole Hultmann

Biography

Licensed psychologist, licensed psychotherapist (family therapy).

I have worked since 1989 as a clinical psychologist in child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), specializing in psychological assessment and psychodynamic and family therapy, and since January 2019 as a senior lecturer at the Department of Psychology and researcher at CAMHS in Gothenburg.

Teaching

Teaching at the Department of Psychology primarily in child- and adolescent clinical psychology.

Research interests

Psychotherapy Research. Risk assessments for children who have been subjected to child abuse, sexual abuse, or witnessed domestic violence.

Current research

Psychotherapy research in CAMHS.

iRiSk - a comprehensive child-centered model for assessing risk for children subjected to intimate partner violence and child abuse. The model is created by researchers from the disciplines of psychology, sociology, and social work. The method is recommended by the Swedish national board of Health and Welfare for Swedish child social welfare. We are currently testing an AI-based transcription feature with the aim of improving usability and enhancing the quality of investigations in which the method is used.

Sivin-Child — Coordinated intervention systems against violence in close relationships. The six year research programme Sivin-Child (2020-2026), explores how different aspects of social work, from detection and investigation to support and follow-up can be coordinated. Financed by Swedish Research Council for Health, Working life and Welfare - FORTE.
