Present employment

Employed as researcher at Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, department of Clinical Neuroscience and Rehabilitation, Division of Speech and Language Pathology at Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg and as speech language pathologist at division of Neurologopedi at Sahlgrenska university hospital.

Teaching interests

Lectures on acquired pragmatic language disorders, functional communication and conversational interaction in association with communication disorders in adults. Supervises master’s thesis and PhD students (Joana Kristensson).

Research interests

Research mainly in the area of how pragmatic aspects in language and communication and naming ability are affected by aphasia related to stroke and by progressive neurological diseases. Problems and recourses and strategies used to handle problems in communication are explored with analyses of interaction, interviews and questionnaires. Current reserach also includes exploration of anomia in stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS) and Parkinson's disease. The main aim is to develop instruments for assessment and treatment methods to reduce the negative consequences of acquired communication disorders. Read more about the research projects here.
