The course is designed for teachers and teacher training students who wish to probe into global issues like development, globalization and cultural identity. The importance of education in a rapidly transforming world is analyzed, and so are concepts like inequality, human rights and clashing cultures. Pedagogical planning and implementation are integrated throughout the course.
Prerequisites and selection
Applicants must prove their knowledge of English: English 6 from Swedish Upper Secondary School or the equivalent level of an internationally recognized test, for example TOEFL, IELTS.
Selection is based upon average grade from upper secondary school (34 %), the number of credits from previous university studies, maximum 165 credits (33 %) and Högskoleprovet - Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test (33 %).
