Sick leave and staff turnover The importance of managers' readiness for action for health promotion, leadership and conditions for control, flexibility, support resources and leadership.
Sick leave and staff turnover are current problems in health care and elder care organizations. The projects study how organizational requirements and resources interact with work commitment, work-related health, staff turnover and shorter and longer sick leave as well as return to work in health care and elder care organizations. In addition to explanations, methodological aspects are critically examined and improved. Data from cohorts, interviews and register-based data are analyzed. Results from our ongoing and completed sub-studies show the importance of organizational support structures, supportive management and change work. In the managerial work practice, the more present, responsive and structured leadership, focusing on and good collaboration with the employees have been more for supportive of beneficial trends. The fact that th
