Short description
An explosion of artificial intelligence (AI) technology is currently sweeping over the world. The new technologies bring new challenges, both technological and societal. Many of these challenges are mathematical in nature. The Department of Mathematical Sciences has a core role in these developments. Our researchers are working on different topics within AI, for example mathematical foundations, improved algorithms, new applications, and societal impacts.
